Treasury Stock

Treasury stock is a type of stock that the company that issues it can buy back in order to cut down on the amount of outstanding stock available for trading. This provides stockholders with increased value rather than just dividends. A company cannot buy back stock during the start and end of a trading day and cannot buy twenty-five percent of the daily volume of stock that has been traded in a prior month.
