Retirement Plan

A retirement plan is a type of plan that is used to help with providing income to a person who has retired. Money is invested for later use and will be taxed when the money is paid out to the retiree. The earnings in a retirement plan will generally not be taxed as it is in a plan. The most popular of these plans include IRAs, pensions and 401(k) plans.
