Modern Portfolio Theory

In the modern portfolio theory, multiple assets are chosen for investment in one’s portfolio. These include a variety of options that include stocks and bonds among other things. This theory is that when one’s portfolio is more diverse, the investor will be able to reduce one’s investment risk. For instance, if bond market prices go down the rise in stock prices at the same time can offset this.
