A floor broker is an agent for a firm member of the stock exchange. The floor broker will execute buy and sell orders as directed by the firm, which in turn will have received such orders from clients. The floor broker will execute the orders at the best available price. The firm will then notify the customer upon execution of the customer’s orders.
