Commodity Futures Trading Commission

The Commodity Futures Trading Commission, or CFTC, is an American organization that works to help with maintaining proper processes for trading futures contracts. It monitors activities in these markets and checks for instances of fraud and abusive trading practices used to try and manipulate the market. The CFTC works to help with protecting people who invest in commodities. It works with many different American commodity markets including the Chicago Board of Trade and the Minneapolis Grain Exchange.
