Blind Pool

A Blind Pool is a partnership formed for the purposes of investment without specification as to how the raised funds will be invested. Sometimes a blind pool will know how the money will be invested but may choose not to tell its investors.

Another application of blind pool is reverse acquisition. A reverse acquisition takes place when a private company agrees to be purchased by a blind pool. The previously private company is now public, without having to register with the SEC.
