Dotcom

Dotcom refers to a company that conducts most of its business through the internet. The term dotcom is derived from the .com suffix that many companies added to their name especially in the late 1990’s during the dotcom boom.

Many of the dotcom companies went bankrupt during the financial crisis of the year 2000, which was referred to as dot-com bubble.
