Dogs of the Dow

Michael O’Higgins investing strategy, Dogs of the Dow, suggests that investors buy the ten stocks of the Dow Jones Industrial Average with the highest dividend in proportion to their selling price.

Proponents of the Dogs of the Dow contend that stocks paying a high yield relative to its price have a better chance of an increase in stock price than stocks paying a low yield.
