Demand Side Economics

Demand side economics, also known as Keynesian economics is a theory that advocates government intervention in the economy. The theory states that the government needs to stabilize production output by adjusting monetary and fiscal policies over the business cycle.

Proponents of demand side economics want a mixed economy where the private sector is the largest, and where government plays a big role with a large sector.
